80 Golden Threads of Grace

80 years is a great age when you are just 15! But when you actually arrive at 80 it doesn’t seem a big deal at all. At least not to me. I thought it would be amusing to record some of the lessons I have learned from my many mistakes, foolishnesses, trials and experiences over the last 80 years. Actually the idea came from one of my sons who one day asked me what was the most valuable thing I had learned from life?

That was a challenging question for me. I have written mainly for my grandchildren and for their children after them, but others may dip in if they wish. Are they “golden threads”?  To me they are and maybe they will encourage you.

 I hasten to add that I am still making mistakes, not so many foolish ones I hope, and I have also determined to remain ever a learner as I still crave more wisdom and understanding of our world, and of the next. For he who ceases to learn, forfeits the right to teach! The stories I tell are all true and unembellished. They are simply testimonies from my life that speak of the steadfast faithfulness and care of our Heavenly Father who tolerates and even uses the weaknesses of a stumbling son.
